Kidneys Gone Bad: Acute Kidney Injury (AKI)
Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) can occur either as community acquired (CA-AKI) or hospital acquired (HA-AKI). While we are seeing less HA-AKI due to EHR triggers, pharmacy managed interventions, education of practitioners and Medicare/Medicaid rules, CA-AKI is occurring more frequentlyÖand is often missed in its early stages. CA-AKI often occurs at the intersection of SDOH and disease states. Do you know what to look for? Do you know which of your patients are at higher risk? Do you know how to test and diagnose AKI? We will share all our secrets of Kidneys Gone Bad
